Admission requirements for Medical Microbiology
Admission requirements
- A candidate must fulfill the general admission requirements of Graduate Studies of University of Gondar.
- Should pass entrance examination (i.e. score at least 50%). However, a score above 50% does not automatically guarantee enrollment.
- Candidates must be holders of first degree in Medicine, Medical Laboratory Technologist/ Sciences, Biology, Veterinary Medicine, Health Officer, and Nursing from recognized institution of higher education (candidates from Biology, Health Officer, and Nursing from recognized institution of higher education should take pre-requisites for Bacteriology II, Mycology, and Virology courses).
- Candidates should complete their cost sharing commitment either in service or in cash.

Graduation requirements
- Each prospective graduate candidate should score a minimum of cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.00 points (with no “D” grade in any subject of the program) and only one “C”. However, students having two “C+” shall be allowed to graduate as long as the CGPA is not below 3.00.
